Aikaterini Kasimi is a recent graduate of the Panteion University Social Anthropology Department , in Athens, Greece. Her anthropological interests revolve mainly around gender, the concepts of health, representations of body and anthropology of art. Inspired by mythological narratives and storytelling, she enjoys identifying the various symbolisms within the modern naratives. Although she ought to be a “digital native”, due to her age and surroundings, in the past she has demostrated a considerable lack of technological skills. While feeling "disconnected" from the digital world for some time, she realised through anthropology and everyday life, that digitality does not only offer useful tools, but also opens doors to new realities. The countless modern narratives which derive from the world of technology, have awaken her curiosity and she is now making up for her lost years of digital exploration. She also enjoys drawing and aspires someday to combine her two interests, anthropology and art.
