Vogiatzis Iraklis is a PhD student at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the emerging academic field of Digital Studies. His doctoral research focuses on the ways that digital technologies normalize labor policies and the new forms of labor in the context of digital services of Web 2.0 such as social media. His is also concerned with digital labor and the processes of digitalizing work and employs the analysis of software design and algorithms in working environments. He holds a BSc in Digital Systems, with expertise in the design and implementation of digital services and educational technologies. He worked for more than 10 years in the private education sector, both as a tutor and ΙΤ support. He also holds an MSc in Philosophy and History of Science and Technology. His master thesis dealt with the term “immaterial labor”. Currently, his research is funded by the State Scholarships Foundation.
