Navigating the oceans of humanity claims a lot of respect to what is human in plural and especially what is before, beyond and around that. Artefacts, affects, intuition, non human entities, trees and buildings, art and poetry. For me, critical investigation and deep understanding as a political/personal stance always matter. That led me from media studies (bachelor degree, National&Kapodestrian University of Athens, 2008-2012) to social anthropology (masters degree, University of Thessaly, 2015-2019) that helped me gain valuable insight into the ethnographic methods. I ’ve recently completed my thesis on “Photographic Practices shared through new media: connection, visibility and co-presence in diasporic Pakistan community of Volos” , focusing on the non representative entanglements of ‘image’ asking the questions of visibility and belonging, affect and subjectivity through selfies and (live) video sharing. My interests as a researcher include but are not limited to: ethnographic methods, digital anthropology, affect, diaspora studies, dance music culture, ‘well-being’ industry, yoga studies, consciousness and climate change.
*I am currently residing and working in Amorgos island.
